MAKHACHKALA, April 1 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestani athletes claimed five medals at the Russian Universal Combat Championship in Samara. The All-Russian tournament drew more than 500 competitors from 36 regions, competing in two age categories: boys (16–17) and juniors (18–20).
The republican team, composed of trainees from Makhachkala's "City Center for Martial Sports" delivered a strong performance. Ali Osmanov took silver, while Islam Magomedov, Khabib Alakov, Rabadan Rabadanov, and Daniel Kebedov each won bronze in their respective weight classes.
All five medalists have been named to the Russian National Team for the upcoming World Championship in universal combat. The athletes are trained by coaches Sagid Dzhabrailov and Zurab Aliev.
The championship serves as a qualifier for international competitions and is organized under the auspices of the All-Russian Federation of Universal Combat.
