MAKHACHKALA, April 17 – RIA Dagestan. A delegation of 24 representatives from Uzbekistan's tourism industry has arrived in Dagestan for an informational and familiarization tour. The event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Artistic Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan, in partnership with the State Budgetary Institution "Tourism Center of the Republic of Dagestan" and the tour operator "Dag Tour". The delegation comprises tour operators, travel agents, industry specialists and bloggers from Uzbekistan.
The tour serves as a practical follow-up to agreements reached during roadshow presentations in Central Asian countries, where Dagestan's tourism potential was showcased to international audiences. Guests will participate in an eight-day program titled "Salam, Dagestan" designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the republic's offerings. The itinerary includes visits to key attractions, inspections of hotel facilities and tourism infrastructure, exploration of natural landscapes, immersion in cultural heritage, sampling of national cuisine, and review of leisure options tailored for international visitors.
The first day started with an official welcome meeting and detailed briefing on the route and program, concluding with a warm, friendly dinner that highlighted Dagestan's renowned hospitality. This initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties between Dagestan and Uzbekistan while promoting the republic as an attractive destination for Central Asian travelers.
