Dagestani Ensembles "Salam" Awarded Three Grand Prix Prizes at Two International Competitions

MAKHACHKALA, March 27 – RIA Dagestan. The exemplary choreographic teams "Salam" from Makhachkala and Kaspiysk have reaffirmed their artistic excellence by earning top honors at two prestigious international competitions in Moscow: "Aspiration" and "We Are the Future of Russia".

The young performers, representing junior (9–12 years) and mixed (up to 14–15 years) age categories, delivered compelling performances in traditional and stylized folk dance, returning with three Grand Prix prizes and multiple first- and second-place awards.

In the "Folk Dance" and "Stylized Folk Dance" nominations, the ensembles secured the highest accolade—the Grand Prix—alongside first-place finishes across both age groups. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedicated mentorship of Ragima Suleimanova, Artistic Director of Makhachkala ensemble and Artur Khaibulaev, Director of the team from Kaspiysk, both recognized at the state level for their contributions to choreographic education.

"Our young artists demonstrated that Dagestani school of dance remains vibrant and robust" Suleimanova emphasized, noting that the performers brought not only technical mastery but also the soul and energy of their mountains to the international stage. Securing three Grand Prix awards across two distinct nominations stands as a testament to the collective's unwavering dedication, artistic vision and the enduring strength of Dagestan's choreographic tradition.
