MAKHACHKALA, March 12 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan has officially opened its first accommodation facility offering guests an all-inclusive vacation experience. The property is a three-star hotel located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
Despite the emergence of this first all-inclusive hotel, experts do not anticipate a rapid transition of the region's entire tourism sector to the all-inclusive model. Cultural and religious characteristics of Dagestan are cited as constraining factors.
"The republic is predominantly Muslim, and including alcohol in standard service packages contradicts the stance of many local hoteliers. Moreover, a significant portion of tourists prefer alcohol-free vacations" the Association officer explained.
